TD Walsh Farms is a family owned and operated business. We pride ourselves in being one of the first farms in the area to run a “no-till-drill.” It is just our little part to keep the local agricultural industry sustainable. Our main farming ventures are in grain, oil seed and hay crops, as well as beef cattle.
We truly do love what we do, farming is in our blood and we are committed to continue to farm in a way that will ensure the land is in better shape than when we started caring for it.
We have the equipment and experience to utilize your land's potential. The best way to manage weeds is to grow healthy crops and that is our #1 goal.
The family started farming on Half Moon Prairie in 1950 when Tom Walsh bought 320 acres on Half Moon Road. Tom and his wife, Lorene, raised crops and milked cows. In 1978, their son Tim joined the family business full time. After Tom retired in 1991, Tim and his wife Debbie took over the land his dad was farming, as well as another neighbor’s land, increasing the farm land to 2,800acres. After selling the dairy cows in 1997 the focus of the farm became crops. In 2010, Tim and Debbie’s son Dusty and his wife Erin joined the farm full time. Currently the Walsh men are farming 4,200 acres and looking for the right ground to continue to grow.
